The complete list

Every feature. One page.

136 things ParkTab does for parking operators — valet, pricing, enforcement, payments, and everything in between. Search it, filter it, and see exactly what you're getting.

Filter by category

Valet operations

A complete digital valet stand: check-in, key tags, tickets, retrieval, and payment — built for restaurants, hotels, and stadium-scale volume.

Live retrieval queue

Every request moves through a clear pipeline — requested, acknowledged, retrieving, approaching, ready — and the board always sorts by what needs action next. Two attendants on two devices can work the same queue without stepping on each other.

Valet check-in in about 20 seconds

Phone number, plate, key tag, expected pickup, payment choice — done. Returning guests are recognized by phone number, so their plate is suggested before your attendant finishes typing.

Key tags, any way you run them

Type free-form tag codes, let ParkTab auto-number tickets, or manage a reusable physical tag inventory with live availability — the system warns before a tag is double-issued.

Paper and QR claim tickets

Some guests won’t give a phone number. Issue a printed ticket with a QR claim link instead — the classic claim check, digitized, with expiry and instant revocation if a ticket is lost.

Vehicle condition photos

Capture a multi-photo walkaround at drop-off, attached to the session with timestamps and attendant attribution. When a damage claim comes in weeks later, the evidence is already organized.

Structured vehicle locations

Record where each car is parked against your own zone / row / stall map — or free text like “L2 / R4 / #118” — so any runner can find any car, and every move is logged with who and when.

Guests request their car from their phone

One tap on the link they were texted — or a text reply, WhatsApp message, or paper-ticket scan — and your team gets an instant alert. Attendants can also start a retrieval for walk-ups.

Pickup ETAs and expected return times

Record when a guest says they’ll be back so the team can pre-pull cars, and publish a live ETA once a retrieval starts so everyone — guest included — knows what’s happening.

In-and-out handoffs

When a car comes back to the podium, mark it as a temporary exit, a final exit, or a handoff — so a guest who leaves for an hour and returns is never billed twice.

Flexible valet billing

Choose at drop-off how a car pays: guest pays by text link now, pays at pickup, is billed to a hotel folio, or is comped. Tip-only mode covers valet stands where parking itself is free.

Fix a wrong phone number in seconds

Mistyped digits happen at a busy stand. Correct the number, resend the guest link, and the session re-points to the right person — with clear notice if a guest has opted out of texts.

Tablet split-view workspace

On a tablet, vehicle details and retrieval controls stay open beside the live queue — no bouncing between screens during a rush.

Events & high-volume

Game days, concerts, and holiday rushes need temporary staff, one-tap pricing, and zero-friction throughput. ParkTab was built for the surge.

Temporary runner links

Hire event-day help with zero onboarding: send a runner a link by text, WhatsApp, or QR and they’re working from their own phone — no account, no app install. Revoke the link and their access ends instantly.

Least-privilege runner access

Each runner grant carries exactly the permissions you choose — see assignments, record where a car is parked, advance a retrieval — and nothing else. Runners see only the vehicle facts they need.

Runner task dispatch

Assign park and retrieve jobs to specific runners, who accept, decline, and complete from a minimal phone screen. Supervisors see open-assignment counts at a glance.

Shift-scoped alerts

Staff “clock on” to a location to receive pickup alerts, and the enrollment expires automatically — nobody gets pinged about work after they’ve gone home.

Valet-required venues

Stadiums, hotels, and restaurants can be configured as valet-only, so self-park sessions are blocked entirely and every car flows through your stand.

One-tap event checkout

During an event, drivers see one flat price with a fixed exit time and skip duration selection entirely — the fastest possible path from scan to parked.

Pricing engine

Our design goal: you should be able to enter any parking sign verbatim. Tiered, progressive, packages, schedules, surcharges — it all resolves automatically.

Tiered pricing

The classic sign ladder — “0–1 hr $5, 1–2 hr $10, all day $15” — entered exactly as it reads, up to 24 tiers.

Progressive pricing

“$5 first hour, $3 each additional hour,” with flat or per-hour steps and your choice of billing increments — round up to the hour, the quarter hour, or bill exact minutes.

Packages and deadline pricing

Early bird (“in by 9, out by 7, $12”) and overnight (“out by 8am, $30”) sold as a single price with a real exit deadline the system enforces in quotes.

Day, night, and weekday schedules

Each plan carries weekday sets and time-of-day entry windows — including windows that wrap past midnight — so evening rates, weekend rates, and matinee rates coexist cleanly.

Daily caps, floors, and grace periods

Set a daily maximum, a minimum charge, and a free grace threshold in minutes. Multi-day stays chunk by rolling 24-hour periods or reset at a fixed local time — your choice.

Explicit overage policies

Decide exactly what happens when a stay outruns the rate table: restart the table daily, charge a flat rate per extra day, roll into another plan, or refuse to sell the stay.

Vehicle-aware surcharges

Add-ons triggered by oversized or commercial vehicles, RVs, valet service, extra spaces occupied, EV charging time, or EV idle time — each flat, per-hour, or percent-based, with its own receipt label.

Taxes with your label

Per-plan tax rates carry an operator-defined label — “City parking tax” — that flows through to every quote and receipt.

Private and partner rates

Access-only plans never appear in normal selection — they’re reachable only through a specific QR code or link. Employee rates, tenant rates, and negotiated partner rates without a second system.

In/out privileges

Let one paid session cover multiple exits and re-entries, with every movement recorded. Configure it per plan or per session.

Every price change is versioned

Rate plans are never edited in place — each change creates a new version with an effective date. Any past charge can be reconstructed exactly, which ends most pricing disputes before they start.

Binding quotes

Drivers are charged exactly the itemized quote they were shown — base, fees, discounts, and taxes — with a segment-by-segment explanation of how the price was computed.

Live sign preview and pricing tester

As you build a plan, it renders as the sign would read. Then test any scenario — date, stay length, vehicle class — against the same engine that prices real sessions, before anything goes live.

Guided pricing setup

Four starting points — simple, scheduled, event-driven, or complex — walk you from a blank slate to working rates. Import and export plans as files to template pricing across a portfolio.

AI pricing assistant

Describe your rates in plain English — “$5 first hour, $25 daily max, $40 flat on event nights” — and get a precise, reviewable proposal, complete with simulated stays and edge-case pricing tables. It never publishes anything itself; you review and apply.

Special events & demand pricing

Dated overrides that sit on top of your normal rates — for one game, a whole season, or every lot in a portfolio at once.

Five kinds of event override

For any dated window: charge a flat event price, apply a surge percentage, make parking free, close the lot entirely, or switch to a purpose-built event rate plan.

Event exit deadlines

The classic “in by 5pm, out by midnight” stadium package: one price, a hard exit time, and a checkout with no duration picker.

Recurring and imported event series

Create one-off events, weekly recurring patterns, or import a team’s entire season from a CSV. Overlapping events resolve by priority, so a special override can sit on top of a general one.

Portfolio-wide events

Scope an event series to a pricing group and it applies to every location in the group at once — one import covers all your stadium-adjacent lots.

Validations, promos & loyalty

Merchant validations, promo codes, sponsored parking, and a points program — one benefits engine with real settlement math behind every discount.

Merchant validations

The classic earn-at-the-restaurant, redeem-at-the-garage arrangement: define which locations grant a validation and which honor it, and the discount applies automatically at checkout.

Promo codes and sponsored parking

Marketing codes and third-party-funded parking (a hotel or employer picks up the tab) run through the same engine, with every discount settled correctly: who funded it, who owes what.

Flexible discount values

Dollars off, percent off, free minutes (pro-rated against the stay), or a fully comped session — previewed to the driver before payment.

Abuse controls built in

Codes and grants carry expiry dates, usage limits, per-day and per-week redemption caps, and concurrent-use limits — so a leaked validation code can’t drain a garage.

Loyalty points

Configurable earn rates (points per dollar) and redemption rates (value per point), with a full transaction history per account. Turn occasional parkers into regulars.

Discounts baked into signage

Attach a benefit code to a specific QR code, so scanning the sign at the restaurant entrance applies the validation automatically — no code for the guest to type.

Monthly parking & memberships

Recurring parking products with real-world rules: multiple vehicles, concurrency limits, overflow billing, and enforcement that never cites a paying member.

Monthly plans across your portfolio

A membership can grant access to one garage or a whole group of locations — with recurring billing and per-plan pricing.

Invite and activate monthly parkers

Send a customer an email invitation with an optional preassigned plate. Collect recurring payment through ParkTab, with the full monthly total shown before sending, or record that payment is handled directly by your operation.

Self-service membership management

Drivers can see their active monthly memberships on the web and in the mobile app, review covered vehicles and locations, and cancel a paid subscription at the end of its current period without calling the operator.

Registered vehicles vs. concurrent cars

Let a member register three cars but allow only one inside at a time — enforced automatically at registration and at check-in.

Overflow handled your way

When a member exceeds their concurrent limit, you decide what happens: treat it as a violation, auto-charge, add it to the next invoice, or let them pay later — at a fixed price or a designated rate.

Failed-payment policies

Per plan, choose grace, suspension, immediate payment required, or violation when a renewal fails — matched to how strict your facility needs to be.

Members recognized automatically

When a camera or patrol scan sees a member’s plate, ParkTab creates or resumes their session and reports coverage — so enforcement never tickets someone who’s paying you monthly.

Enforcement & violations

Citations with evidence, patrol tools that tolerate misread plates, and automation that drafts violations for human review — never auto-issues them.

Citation from a plate scan

One tap turns an unpaid or overstaying plate into a citation with a reason, fine amount, due date, and photo evidence attached at the moment of issue.

Drafted by automation, issued by people

ParkTab watches unauthorized entries, runs your grace timer, and re-checks payment before drafting a citation — a driver who pays mid-grace clears automatically. A human always reviews before anything is issued.

Repeat observations, not duplicate tickets

Scanning an already-cited plate extends the evidence record — first seen, last seen, observation count — instead of stacking tickets. You build an escalation case, not a paperwork mess.

Overstay rules per location

Choose how overstays are flagged: by clock alone, only when the car is actually observed after expiry, manually, or not at all — matched to how each lot really operates.

Misread-tolerant plate matching

Camera OCR confuses O and 0, S and 5. ParkTab’s three-tier matching still finds the right car — and prevents a one-character misread from producing a wrongful citation.

Online citation pay and dispute

The notice carries a QR code; drivers pay by card online or file a dispute with a reason — cutting your phone volume and paper handling. Citation revenue flows through the same reporting as parking revenue.

Printable violation notices

A branded, letter-size notice with vehicle details, fine, due date, payment QR, dispute instructions, and the observation evidence summary.

Enforcement dashboard

Active citations, issued-today counts with dollar value, collected totals, and a register searchable by plate or citation code.

Location-verified patrol activity

Scans and citations are geo-tagged, and the app warns an attendant who’s about to record activity while far from the selected lot — clean, defensible records.

Payments

Every way a driver wants to pay, and every way an attendant needs to collect — with server-side verification so paid means paid.

Cards, wallets, PayPal, and Venmo

Secure card checkout plus Apple Pay, Google Pay, PayPal, and Venmo — fewer taps, higher completion, and coverage for drivers who don’t carry cards.

Tap to Pay on iPhone and Android

Your attendant’s phone is the card reader. Contactless chip-card and wallet acceptance with no extra hardware to buy, charge, or lose.

Dedicated card readers

Prefer hardware? Bluetooth readers and countertop smart readers pair to a location with a code shown on the reader itself — including a mode where ParkTab runs on the reader as a self-contained parking terminal.

Cash and external billing, first-class

Record cash collected at the podium, or mark sessions as billed to a hotel folio or an outside contract — every car gets a full session record and shows up in reporting, however it paid.

Payment verified before parking is granted

In-person charges are validated server-side against the real quote before any time is granted, and no session state changes until payment is confirmed — an expired stay can’t be retroactively legitimized.

No manual card entry, ever

ParkTab never asks staff to type a card number. It’s a deliberate loss-prevention and compliance stance, visible in the product itself.

Tipping everywhere it matters

Tips at the reader, tips on the guest’s phone with sensible presets, valet-smart defaults at checkout, and tip-only locations for comped valet — all tracked separately from parking revenue.

Worker-friendly tip economics

Money intended for staff uses its own lower platform rate instead of the parking rate — 5% with one 50¢ transaction floor by default. In a parking-plus-tip checkout, a parking fee that already clears the floor means there is no second minimum on the tip.

Recognizable card statements

Statement descriptors derive from your lot’s name, so drivers recognize the charge — which means fewer “what is this?” disputes and chargebacks.

Clean refunds

Refunds automatically unwind the full split — your share and platform fees reverse together, once, no matter how many times the button gets clicked.

Payouts & reconciliation

Your money lands in your bank account, and every deposit explains itself down to the individual session.

Direct payouts to your bank

Revenue settles to your own bank account on a schedule you can see and control — daily, weekly, or monthly. Onboard from the web console or the mobile app, and operate cash-first while verification completes.

Deposit-to-session reconciliation

Open any payout and see the exact transactions inside it — gross, fees, net, per session. The “where did this deposit come from?” question answers itself.

One payout stream, all payment types

PayPal and Venmo revenue is unified into the same payout stream as card revenue, so your bank statement has one story instead of three.

Audit-grade transaction ledger

Every payment is recorded as an immutable, double-entry transaction with per-session revenue attribution — the paper trail behind every report, receipt, and reconciliation claim.

Transparent, configurable fees

Service fees carry your chosen label, and you decide per channel whether fees are absorbed or passed to the customer. Fee policies are effective-dated and snapshotted onto every charge, so receipts and disputes always agree.

Honest economics in-product

The pricing tester and reports show exactly what the customer pays, what you receive, and what ParkTab takes — no spreadsheet archaeology required.

Printing & receipts

Thermal printers at the curb, PDFs everywhere else — one consistent branded receipt across all of it.

Four printer families supported

Zebra, Brother, and Star Micronics mobile and countertop printers over Bluetooth and MFi, plus any system or AirPrint-compatible printer as a universal fallback.

One receipt, every printer

Receipts are rendered server-side, so branding, taxes, and legal text are identical whether they come out of a thermal printer at the valet stand or a PDF in the guest’s email.

Shift-ready printer management

Discover nearby printers, run a test print before the rush, and pin a default so “Print receipt” is one tap for the rest of the shift.

License plate recognition

Point the phone at a plate and get a verdict. Fixed cameras, handheld scanning, and manual entry all feed the same system.

Scan plates with the phone camera

Live on-device plate detection locks onto a plate, captures a still, and runs a high-accuracy read — the attendant just points. A confidence score tells staff when to double-check.

Instant paid-or-not verdict

Every scan resolves to Paid, Overstay, Unpaid, or Unknown with the session details behind it — plus up to 200 prior visits by that plate at your lot, so repeat offenders and repeat customers are both obvious.

Fixed camera integration

Register entry and exit cameras and their reads flow straight into sessions — including automatically recording temporary exits and re-entries for in/out privileges.

Manual entry always works

Full plate and state entry with all 50 states, DC, and Puerto Rico — camera or no camera — and searches ignore spacing, punctuation, and case so a rough entry still finds the car.

Driver experience

The features your customers feel: scan, pay, extend, and get their car — with nothing to download and nothing to learn.

Scan and pay, zero downloads

Drivers scan the QR on your sign and pay on the web in seconds. Your signage is the only hardware between an empty space and collected revenue.

Native iOS App Clip

On iPhone, the QR launches a native checkout with Apple Pay instantly — no App Store visit. It’s the highest-converting payment path available on iOS.

Lock Screen session tracking

A live countdown sits on the driver’s Lock Screen with Extend, I’m leaving, and Request-my-car buttons — they never have to find the link again.

One link does everything

Every guest text carries a single link that adapts to the situation: pay and track, add time, request the car, tip the valet, or say “I’m leaving.” No login, no account, no app.

Extend from anywhere

A meeting runs long, the driver adds an hour from their seat — instead of risking a ticket or walking back to the lot. Extension revenue you weren’t collecting before.

Pay-on-exit for gated lots

Open-ended “until I leave” sessions freeze the exact amount due at exit — by paper ticket at a pay station or on the driver’s own phone.

Expiry reminders that recover revenue

Guests get a text before their session expires with a one-tap extend link — turning would-be violations into paid time.

Saved vehicles and one-tap repeats

Returning drivers sign in with a text code — no password — and their saved car makes the next session a single tap.

Park and pay with Apple CarPlay

Drivers can find a nearby ParkTab location, choose their saved car and parking time, review the price, and start a session from the dashboard. A payment method saved with explicit consent in the ParkTab iPhone app makes repeat CarPlay parking possible, with phone handoff when extra authentication is required.

Receipts that end receipt requests

Itemized digital receipts, emailable and downloadable as PDF, with staff able to resend one in a click.

QR fraud protection

Scanning inside ParkTab verifies the code is genuine before any payment — protection against the QR-sticker scams hitting parking lots everywhere.

Never charged twice

If a payment confirmation is slow, drivers see clear “don’t pay again” messaging while the system resolves — preventing duplicate charges and the chargebacks that follow.

Session management

The unglamorous machinery that makes everything else trustworthy: precise session state, safe corrections, and live boards that stay current.

Presence and payment tracked separately

“The car is here” and “the money arrived” are independent facts in ParkTab — so prepaid, pay-at-exit, hotel-billed, and comped cars are all unambiguous on the board.

Automatic re-entry recognition

A car with in/out privileges that leaves and returns resumes its session instead of being double-charged, and a driver who re-pays cleanly supersedes their old expired session.

Duplicate check-in protection

Starting a second session for a plate that’s already parked is caught immediately — no double-billing, no confused enforcement.

Safe corrections

Void a mistaken check-in (only while unpaid), mark a car complete, or record a departure — without ever touching payment records. Mistakes get fixed; money stays intact.

“Ending soon” worklist

Sessions inside their final 30 minutes surface on a dedicated filter, so staff can act before an expiry becomes an overstay.

Numbered spaces and zones

Lots that enforce by space get structured zone and space maps used consistently in checkout, the live board, and enforcement.

Live boards, no refresh button

Session lists, valet queues, and revenue tiles update in real time on every device — with automatic fallback delivery if a connection drops mid-shift.

Signage & QR codes

Your signage is your storefront. ParkTab makes it printable, brandable, trackable — and impossible to break by reprinting.

Print-ready QR generator

Generate your lot’s payment QR in the console with brand colors, module styles, and labels, previewed live and exported as vector SVG or PNG.

Campaign links with attribution

Create a distinct coded QR per sign, gate, partner, or promotion — each can pin special rates, embed a discount, and carry activation windows. Revenue traces back to the exact sign that earned it.

Old signage never breaks

Locations can hold multiple short codes, retire and re-issue them — and retired codes keep resolving forever, so you’re never forced into a reprint.

Stage before you launch

New locations start as drafts, can be shared by exact link for testing, and go public when you say so — plus a ParkTab verification badge as a driver-facing trust signal.

Team & multi-location

From a two-person lot to a management company with regional portfolios — roles, invitations, and shared devices that match how parking teams actually work.

Worker, Manager, Owner roles

Three clear access levels per location — grant someone one lot or company-wide access that automatically covers locations you add later.

Invitations without passwords

Invite staff by email or phone with a personal message; they accept through a magic link and are working in minutes. Resend, revoke, and track every invite.

Shared devices, separate people

Multiple staff sessions live encrypted on one tablet — hand the device to the next shift and switch users without logging anyone out or sharing credentials.

Portfolio pricing and structure

Pricing groups share rate plans, fee arrangements, events, and memberships across any set of lots — so a 40-location portfolio is managed like one system, not 40 copies.

Sign in your way

Passkeys, one-time codes by email, SMS, or WhatsApp, passwords, and Google or Apple sign-in — fast and phishing-resistant on shared field devices.

Role-gated visibility

Revenue figures and customer contact lookups appear only for people with manager access at that location — field staff see the work, not the books.

Reporting & analytics

Live dashboards for the floor, finance-ready exports for the back office, and Lightdash analytics with AI-assisted querying when you want to go deeper.

Portfolio dashboard

Occupancy, net revenue, session counts, and average stay — for one lot or all of them, over any period, with per-location comparison at a glance.

Hour-by-hour revenue with fair comparisons

Today’s revenue curve against any prior day, matched hour-for-hour (“through 3 PM vs. the same hour last week”) and timezone-correct across markets — so trends are real, not artifacts.

New vs. returning customers

Hourly breakdown of first-time versus repeat vehicles reveals loyalty and demand mix — and whether that promotion actually brought new cars.

Attendant vs. self-pay split

See how much volume your staff processes versus what drivers handle themselves — a direct read on what staffing hours are worth.

Finance-ready CSV exports

Revenue by location, session activity, and a session-level ledger with fee attribution and masked plates — clean enough to hand to your accountant or your landlord as-is.

Lightdash analytics workspace

One click provisions a full self-serve Lightdash workspace scoped to exactly your locations — explore, chart, and build dashboards beyond the built-in reports.

Ask AI about your operation

Ask a question in plain English and ParkTab queries your governed Lightdash data to answer with tables and charts — without making you build the report first.

Scheduled report deliveries

Schedule dashboards and saved charts for automatic delivery, so owners, managers, and finance teams get the numbers they need without signing in or running the same report again.

Customer lookup across your lots

Find any parker by plate, phone, or email and see their session history, citations, and lifetime parking spend — VIP recognition and dispute resolution in one screen.

Guest messaging

SMS, WhatsApp, email, and push through one system — compliant by construction and accountable for every message.

Four channels, one system

Text messages, WhatsApp, branded email, and push notifications — guests pick what works for them (WhatsApp matters for international visitors), and staff never think about the difference.

Compliance you don’t have to think about

Every text carries opt-out language automatically, STOP is honored durably, and messages are engineered to fit one SMS segment — compliant and cheaper at the same time.

Lifecycle messages that do work

Valet welcomes with pay links, expiry reminders with one-tap extends, and completion messages with receipts or tip links — each one either collects money or prevents a support call. Spanish variants throughout.

Guests can just text back

A guest replies to the valet text and their retrieval request lands on the board — no link required.

Alerts that respect the shift

Retrieval alerts are high-priority, deep-link straight to the car, suppress themselves when you’re already looking at the queue, and stop when your shift ends.

Delivery you can see

Sent, delivered, and failed states per message — and when a text can’t go (no phone, opted out), staff are told immediately instead of finding out from an angry guest.

Developers & integrations

A documented API with scoped credentials, realtime events, and integration patterns for gates, cameras, and marketplaces.

Public GraphQL API

A documented partner API with an in-browser explorer, so gate vendors, marketplaces, and your own tools integrate without a sales call.

Scoped service credentials

Self-serve machine credentials with granular scopes — sessions, rates, events, citations — plus per-lot grants, so a vendor token sees exactly what it should and nothing more.

Gate and camera integration

A live “may this plate be here right now?” check covers both paid sessions and monthly members — the single question a gate controller or LPR camera needs answered.

Realtime event stream

Subscribe to per-location session, payment, and valet events over a live connection — power your own dashboards, signs, and internal systems.

Marketplace-ready catalog

Locations, rates, and availability exposed for resellers and partner benefit programs, with redemptions reconciled as line items in your revenue reporting.

Languages, trust & reliability

The properties that make everything above dependable: localization, privacy, and software built for a phone in a concrete garage.

Risk-free sandbox environment

Use your ParkTab login in a separate environment with isolated operational data and test payments — explore workflows, train your team, and experiment without touching live locations or moving real money.

Six languages, end to end

English, Spanish, Portuguese, German, French, and Italian — across guest checkout, receipts, the operator console, and the mobile apps. Staff and guests each get their own language on the same lot.

Privacy by design

Masked plates in shareable reports, identity-free enforcement records, versioned consent tracking, and self-serve account deletion — built for GDPR and CCPA rather than retrofitted.

Built for the field

Network blips never blank a screen mid-shift, app updates ship over the air without app-store delays, and every money-touching operation is safe to retry. Light and dark themes for sunlit lots and underground garages.

Security you can review

A published security posture for procurement, role-based access throughout, encrypted device sessions, and no card numbers ever touching staff hands.

See it with your own lots

Create a free operator account, add a lot, and try any of this today — no card, no contract, no hardware.
